Salute

I salute everyone who has taken their two weeks (or so) to enjoy the Writing Camp that Mrs.Faughnan and Mr. Schluntz put on for us. They have been doing this for a few years now and it is such a joy to come everyday for a few hours and be able to get your mind working and finding that creative spot. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Eyler for coming in with their new baby girl Nephele and having a fun day with improv. Thank you sooo much Jo Knowles for coming in and being our guest author and writing such a wonderful book. Also, your first few pages of the book you shared with us was amazing, and I can't wait to read it in bookstores soon. Thank you Geoff Gevalt for showing us this wonderful website. It gives us the opportunity to share our writing with people all over New England and with each other. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and I hope to see all your faces again next year!!

Thank you :)

“So Miss Jennifer Walters, your test results have come back in and everything seems to be normal except one thing, but it shouldn’t be a big deal.”
“Oh, well my stomach has been having some pains lately – I didn’t know if that meant anything?”
“Well, we can do some test, but unfortunately you wont hear the results until after you come back.”
“That’s fine. I’m sure it’s just something minor anyways. Thank you for your time Dr. Phelps.
“My pleasure, tell Dean I said hi.”

4:18

Its 4:18, and I try to think about my life, as of now. Some people don't take the time to look back, and see what they have seen, did, and missed. Have you ever just stopped what you were doing, like stopping time and just thought about your life? Is today my last day? Is tomorrow? What will it be like? Thousands of questions pour into my head when I stop time. I want to take every second of every minute of every hour of my day, and take them to heart - possibly feeling like it could be my last. What if I said I hated someone, obviously not meaning it, but just mad at them during that time. And what if that night, at 11:32 you got a call- saying that person - that person who you said you hated.. was hurt, dying, or dead. What would YOU feel?

Doors

Doors open
Doors close.
Doors creak
Doors squeak.
Doors are entryways
Doors are dead ends.
They whisper
They yell.
Doors hide
Doors find.
Doors are big.
Doors are small.
They protect
They unveil.
Doors share secrets
Doors keep secrets.
Doors open
Doors close.
