WELCOME to the world of direct record: You can now record directly to your blog and create a .wav file of yourself narrating your piece. Try it out.  You can also still upload a .mp3 file through the conventional means, the podcast box. Click "Read More" for instructions. TRY IT OUT! Here are the instructions:

1. Click on Red Button. If counter does not advance, scroll up and find small FLASH permission box AND FIRST Click "REMEMBER" and then Click "ALLOW" (Again, make sure to click REMEMBER first, that will mean this will never have to be done again for that computer.)
2. Counter should be moving, and, if so, start recording.
3. Click on Red Button again to STOP.
4. Click UPLOAD -- Please be PATIENT; upload may take as much as a minute depending on your network and length of recording. Do not move from that screen window. When it is completed, a player that looks like this will appear:

NOW scroll down to "Save" at the bottom.

• If the counter does NOT start moving or you could NOT find the little Flash permission box, do the following:
  1. Go to the CONTROL PANEL (PCs or Settings on Mac) on your computer. Pick “Classic View” and click on the Flash Player icon.  Click “Camera and Mic” … click “Camera and Mic Settings by Site” … scroll down until you find “hmms.ywpschools.net” it should show a yellow “Ask” choice. Click on this and you will see an option with Green dot that says “Allow.” Click that. This will mean that you will never have to do this again for this computer.
• If you fail to get the small Flash Box, and you fail to find the Flash icon in your Control Panel, then go here… http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html … scroll down to where you see the hmms.ywpschools.net site and then click Green button ALLOW.
