I am an awkward child

pineapple_babbit's picture

I am an awkward child.
I drink fancy teas
That cost me most of my allowance,
And take numerous devises to make,
And require the water temperature to be
Exactly
212 degrees…
that’s the boiling point of water…
But it’s worth it.

I am an awkward child,
I eat leftover sausage from a plastic baggy,
Not even warmed up,
And laugh
Hysterically
Over lame math and science jokes,
And laugh even harder
When I hiccup in an really
Interesting way.
I also laugh at jokes that I heard
Up to a week ago…

I am an awkward child,
I go out in sub-zero Vermont weather
Wearing nothing but a light hoodie,
And say I’m not cold,
Even if I am,
And I walk in the rain
Not caring if I get wet.
I also still enjoy stomping through mud puddles.

I am an awkward child,
I sometimes wear my hair in weird ways,
And sometimes dress weird too.
I also dress up on holidays…
Like Mardi Gras,
St. Patricks day,
Most any holiday.
Sometimes I’ll dress my dogs up too…
Its cool when we match.

I am an awkward child,
I like collecting bugs,
And studying them.
At the moment,
My favorite is the planarian.
They are so cute.
Those are flat worms,
But others make me happy too.
Frogs are also fun,
And fishing
And catching turtles…

I am an awkward child,
I like different music than anyone else,
And sometimes,
When people ask me what I’m singing,
I can’t tell them
Because it is a song that I made up,
All on my own.
And that makes me so happy,
My whole day can be turned around.

I am an awkward child,
I collect garden gnomes,
And carry one around in my bag at all times.
He helps me in math,
And is actually very smart.
No one would ever guess
That a 2 inch tall gnome would be good at math,
But he is.
Trust me.

I am an awkward child,
And I love it,
Because being awkward
Give you so much to talk about,
And makes life very interesting.
Trust me.

i love this :] i like the

i love this :]
i like the way you describe the "awkward" points of you rather than the boring, everyone-knows-already ones.

yah!

Garden gnomes rock! Lol, I love it. And here I was thinking I was the only one who eats cold sausage and laughs at a joke I heard forever ago. People always look at me like I've lost my mind. Just because they didn't hear the joke doesn't mean I can't laugh!

Embrace the awkward children inside!!!!

Just because they didn't hear the joke doesn't mean I can't laugh!
I know! My teacher told a joke in bio class and I laughed really hard at first, and then like, 20 minutes later, I started laughing again, and then that reminded me of another joke, so I started laughing harder!
lol. I am an awkward child, and I embrace it!
Embrace the awkward children inside yourselves!!!! ^_^
