i'm leaving ywp hey guys i saw people looking at ywp and saying really bad stuff about people's poems about pain and other things, and really judging. i was always really scared about sharing poetry and i was getting better at it until now. i still want to raid a pizza place with you! and email me. |

Thats too bad! I don't know the situation... but I guess if it was that bad... You ARE entitled to respect and to your emotions! I think It is disturbing that people would be that bad... Just know, Addie, that the only voice that really matters is your own. People who do that are just jerks... with no respect. I'm sorry things got uncomfortable. If you do change your mind... you will find many here still that WILL respect you.

If you really wanted to, you could report the people to gg and he could block them or he could at least warn them and put up an announcement about it so if anyone else does that, they'll get kicked off. Like squeejay said: many people here WILL respect you. It's really a shame to see you leave. I really hope you change your mind and decide to stay...

I am not Geoff but I will try and get him to address your post here but until he does I will post a bit about the issue. I am certain if users are not behaving themselves properly they will access their taken away. I can't draw the exact lines, but I can help if there is something very obviously over the line and Geoff isn't available. Is there a certain post(s) you are referring to?

I inferred from your comments Addie that you saw folks in person who were reading the poems and making fun of them. Is that the case? If so, I'm afraid there's not a lot we can do about that. Unfortunately there will always be people in life who make fun of others or of others' emotions and personal expression.
Or are you saying that folks online on this Web site have been posting nasty comments about the poems?
If it's the latter we can block inappropriate comments. We are getting such a volume of traffic these days that it's hard to keep up with all that is said. HOWEVER, I've not seen nasty comments... If you have seen some, please advise me by email as to their location.
