Dreamer

imagine's picture

I'm staring at the
reflection of my face
in a cup of
tea,
my features swimming
back and
forth and
molding together like
a mess of
sugar-spun clouds
twisting into a shape
that almost looks
human.

I'm realizing that
this reflection is
what I wish you
could see,

instead of that
face of
reality
who waits behind
the blunt walls of

a
mirror.

This girl who
looks back at me,
mint-scented steam
floating out of
the tendrils
of her skin

knows how
to dream.

MM LOVES talking in third person!

MM also thinks Imagine is

divine gifts or
something that make her
poetry so gorgeous.

Muses.

Oh.

Miss_literal expects
MM to know
that? Think about
MM's english teacher;
MM is sorely uneducated
in the gods and goddesses that
influenced bards and
were called muses.
