My heart pounds
Thump thump thump
I can’t find where I am.
The sounds
The noises
Nothing seems right.
What can I do?
Nothing seems right.
I can’t stop thinking about what might happen.
I stand alone
By myself
With no one sight
No one near
The fear rushes all over me.
Time seems to go fast,
But my watch shows only a minute of time
Has gone by.
Nothing will help me
Accomplish my fear,
Of being in the dark.
