Happy Hypocrites

imagine's picture

Today a new
life was slipped
into the folds of our
family.

Her green eyes look
like dark plants
emerging out of cold
earth; her
coat is like
the color of snow at
night: gray with
puddles of pure,
white
paws.

Everyone is already
in love with her
infectious
sighing
purr.

And yet,
after petting her and
cooing at just how
adorable she is,
my family sits
down at
dinner,
to a centerpiece of
meat.

Yeah,
they really do
love
animals.

Thats great.

Haha. Thats kind of funny. But I you can still love animals even if your eating one... I think. I still love animals and I love to eat meat. :) Got the processed stuff that schools make the kids eat, then your not really eating an animal. Ha, I solved that problem for you.

I love people. I don't eat

I love people. I don't eat them.

I don't mean to sound too rude, but this is an issue I take seriously. The "processed stuff" is actually an animal. It doesn't solve the problem at all.
