My Little Spearmints
The first day
I carefully made your home
I added as much water as you needed
And then I carefully laid you down
I made sure to cover you
As to keep you warm
And I lightly sat you in the sun
When the sun was in the process of going down
I picked you up
And brought you into the warmth of the house
At least until the next day
I put you out again
Checking carefully
To see if you have shown your face yet
But you haven’t
So I gave you another drink
And covered you up again
Now I look at you sitting there
And think
I will tend to you for as long as I need to
Until you are full grown
And even then I will help you
Until the day you die

Very Sweet.
In my family's garden, however, it is rather the opposite: "GET THE MINT!!!" It is a very invasive plant, and impossible to keep from spreading and taking over everything...
Unless, of course, it's in a container.
Which seems to be the case with yours. (fiction or not)

Mint is an invasive species... I think catnip is in the mint family... Either way it spread around my yard really fast... lol... My spearmint is in a little plastic greenhouse though, so I think it's safe. ^_^
I'm hoping it will do good... I like to garden, but I lack a green thumb... lol

Gardening is very enjoyable,,,
And I've yet to meet a plant that could spread around a lawn while contained in a plastic greenhouse- but if anything could do that, mint could. :)

I know there is another invasive herb in my herb garden, but I'm not quite sure what it is... Its just making a bigger and bigger carpet every year, and it smells quite enjoyable when I have to mow near the garden... Hmmm... I should probibly ask... lol

I'm pretty sure my dad knows... He's good at identifying plants... That and the herb garden was his before he gave up on it...
I'm not the best at identifying plants, unless its semi obvious.. Or I've seen it alot before... lol

So are pumpkins and squash,
So are pumpkins and squash, which have alot of food value, but only if you have lots of room, because their vines fan way out...
But they only live one year.

Watermelons are fun to grow... I've only gotten them to be minis though... I guess mini watermelons are still good though. ^_^ They are just as yummy.. ^_^
