Maybe It was about something more than That

Maybe it was about control
about this being the only thing in my life that I had the slightest amount of say in
Maybe I thought that it would set me apart from everyone else
maybe at the time I was just thinking about how the blood would run
And not about how the scars would stay for weeks on end
and all I can say
Is today at lacrosse when they told me I had to tkae the hairties off my wrist
I thanked god that I quit two weeks ago
instead of two days ago

All I can say is be careful,
sometimes it's better to talk to someone, but I know that doesn't always help.
