Handle

I am
dripping
with sarcasm,
dripping
with your uncontained
presence.
Dripping down
my throat withing this
tea holding
court in a mug whose
handle has no
purpose for
either of us.
I am
gripping
this mug around its
middle, knuckles
white, as though it's what
matters the most;
as though surrounding my
hand with this useless
handle will help me
to get a grip.
I am
thinking
of how
silly a handless
mug must look standing
stoically, confident
enough to not be
hiding behind a
strange curl of clay or
porcelain.
I am
imagining
the confidence looks
just like you.
I am
considering
that I
like the
handle, even if I
never use it.

Ah. The things one does for
Ah. The things one does for love, eh?
I like how this seams to
I like how this seams to flow easy (and on a side note, the literal shape of the poem is kind of cool).
And it's nice that you keep the strong imagery from beginning to end.
About A? (You don't have to answer, just wondering.)

Woot woot for shapes. Oh,
Woot woot for shapes.
Oh, that's a bummer. I so could have placed A there, oh well.

Wow. I feel really stupid
Wow.
I feel really stupid for suddenly not knowing who A is...
mug with no handle??? COOL!
ooo do you actually have a mug with no handle?? I've never seen one before... that might be interesting to see...
oh, about the poem to which i am commenting: i really like how fluid this is.. its as if it were written as you were staring at the mug in your hands, and analyzing it thoroughly... [did you? just out of curiosity.]

I don't, but I know someone one does. I thought so too.
Thank you. I actually was. I was drinking tea at the time, so yeah. I had a frame of reference there.
