The Bassist and the Cellist

The bassist stood and watched in awe
The cellist
Bow streaking across the strings in a blur
So much different then his thick low strings
Which have been dancing the same old notes lately
A rhythm so much different then hers
Slow down now
Listen to her beauty
Watch the technique
Turn down the speaker
A different higher mood to her bow
He could not move
Their eyes met
He looked away embarrassed
But she knew.
Knew he had been watching
She knew she was now dancing through his head
To her own melody at her own tempo
Her silver bow now playing soft melodies across his heart
And he couldn’t help but listen
Turning down the amplifiers of the rest of the world
Only focusing on her beauty
Now picking up his own instrument in return
The bass matching her melody with a hesitant undertone
And subtle hints
She had him now
Tethered to the web of notes she was now wrapping him in
He could only listen and watch
Entranced
Embracing her quickening tempo
He plays along with swift triplets
Swinging arpeggios in his head since her first call
But there tempos met and
He now knew what he wanted all along
But now questioning him self
His over analysis
His mind that by the day seems to be slowing
His hatred of the normal
And love of the strange and different
He sings when he walks
He rambles when he talks
He gets attached
He would love to be a tree
He feels unsure all the time
But now he is sure.
He’s going back to watch the cellist
His own reservations thrown aside
Craving to know more
Craving to see her
Planning it out
He came back and looked her in the eyes
Admitted his deepest fear and his greatest wish
Wondering
Wondering
Looking at her makes time slow
He can’t know yet but he can dream
Take it slow boy
Let the rhythm get you and take you away
So everything is just right
Let’s just fall
Take her hand now
And dance with her tonight.

I love the flow of this
I love the flow of this poem, very melodic on its own, intricately woven to say the least:
however...
proofread? somewhere it says Moldy, when you mean melody, another place it's their, instead of there.

I'm glad you took the time to proof read it once more.
Adore the title, adore the symbolism.
Your mind is like a stream that will never run thin.

I love this!! I love how you
I love this!!
I love how you can take a moment and expand it to encompass so much, like Virginia Woolf.
