Each day we have new writing -- and new selections on the front page. An important part of this project is to give each other positive, constructive feedback. So add your comments to the writing. Read as a writer. Help out your fellow young writer!

Prompt Book

So I figured I would start this forum as a sort of prompt list. The way I see it, the YWP is frequented by a lot of writers and has been for a while. One of them is bound to get (dare I say it?) writer's block at some point. Sooo.. Post a phrase that you like, post the lyrics to a song, post a picture (if you can), anything that you think would spark an idea. And should you actually get the aforementioned dreaded disease, be sure to come back here and look for some inspiration!

Don't know if this would help anyone, but...

"(I fight) for the unconventional
(My right) and its unconditional
(I can only) be as real as I can
The disadvantage is, I never knew the plan
(This isn't) just a way to be a martyr
(I can't) walk alone any longer
(I fight) for the ones who can't fight
And if I lose, at least I tried!"

This is part of the song "Pulse of the Maggots" by Slipknot.
Sorry if it never ends up helping anyone.
