4,000 miles more

Hey dearest.
Remember the time you told me
You were going to run away
Halfway across the world?
Hey dearest.
Remember the time you told me
That you would rather screech
Like a banshee on the top of your lungs
Than spare a single second to
confess?
Hey dearest.
Remember the time you told me
That you were going to hang yourself
From your living room wall
And I whined, begged on my knees, pleaded, sobbed
so that you instead, would crawl away
Into someone else's arms?
Hey dearest.
Remember the time I told you
"Hey, it's only 4,000+ miles, no more tears!"
You're like the tissue I threw into the wind,
expecting it to flutter to the ground, but
it twisted into countless shapes,
Slithering past my grasp
And when it did finally fall
I was not there to catch it.

I really like the way you
I really like the way you tied up the end.
Very nice.
:)
I love it, in it's own
I love it, in it's own depressing way. I like the first stanza. It's amazing because at some point or another we all wanted to run away halfway across the world. Oh, and the banshee was great, too. Haven't we all done that?! Great piece.
