5. Haunted. Have you ever been in a house where things go bump in the night? Do you believe that some buildings or places are haunted? Is there one in your town? Tell us a story about it. Make it believable.
Alternate: Lockers. What one thing do you wish no one to know about in your locker? Or what is the most important thing in your locker? Deadline: Friday Oct. 17.

  • Click "create content" and create an ENTRY
  • Fill out "title," "author name, school & grade" and "prompt" boxes.
  • Paste story into "body."
  • Click "Submit." You are done.

I salute everyone who has taken their two weeks (or so) to enjoy the Writing Camp that Mrs.Faughnan and Mr. Schluntz put on for us. They have been doing this for a few years now and it is such a joy to come everyday for a few hours and be able to get your mind working and finding that creative spot. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Eyler for coming in with their new baby girl Nephele and having a fun day with improv. Thank you sooo much Jo Knowles for coming in and being our guest author and writing such a wonderful book. Also, your first few pages of the book you shared with us was amazing, and I can't wait to read it in bookstores soon. Thank you Geoff Gevalt for showing us this wonderful website. It gives us the opportunity to share our writing with people all over New England and with each other. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and I hope to see all your faces again next year!!
