Quarters (Obscure and Awsm song)

Podcast:

Collaborative song between awsm and obscure. Awsm is on vocals, obscure on guitar.

You were framed by my old house
billowing smoke came from your mouth
you were young and I was old
we first kissed before the cold

Searched for elements of you
our morning tent was wet with dew
read your words and saw your face
we will always have that place

We are we were
too far with her
all caps high five
her lips alive

I met her there on your front lawn
where we made love until the dawn
it's not the time it's not the place
were no tears upon your face

We are we were
too far with her
all caps high five
her lips alive

I still come and see you there
I hate it that you grew your hair
we got lost in all our rage
I wish things hadn't had to change

We are we were
too far with her
all caps high five
her lips alive...

*much applause*

Just listened to all three, back-to-back - very impressed, but don't you ever write upbeat music?

Sorry - it doesn't matter what the lyrics are, upbeat music will appeal to me. This is why I adore Reel Big Fish, even though they have some of the most depressing lyrics I've ever heard.

I was thinking the exact same thing - the entire feel is like that.

Again, good job :)
