RE: U2 3D!!!

Boston, Mass.
New England Aquarium's iMax
U2 3D at 8:10 pm
6:00 pm
We're waiting in the lobby
It's two hours before the show
Outside
It's dark and rain pounds into the harbor
I pass the time playing Tetris
While my mom reads beside me
7:20 pm
A line starts to form
We race to get there
Before too many people come
8:00 pm
They let us in
Take our tickets
We get 3D glasses in return
Racing up to the top
We snag two middle seats
I pull out my camera
To snap pictures of us
With the goofy glasses on
Through the previews
We gasp as we're almost smacked
By whale fins and dolphins
That want to kiss us
Finally
The credits start rolling
My heart beats louder
Some girl is running
Her shoes slap on the pavement
The screen fades into
U2
ON STAGE
The tour beings with "Vertigo"
Bono looks up
Directly at me
And reaches his hand out
Like he wants to hold my head
My breath catches
This is unbelievable
The entire show continues
Full of those moments
Bono trying to "wipe the tears
From your face:
During "Sunday, Bloody Sunday"
People in the crowd are shirtless
On each other's backs
Scream
Wave their hands in the air
For the harmony
The Edge lulls out the lyrics
I didn't know he could sing
During one song
Bono pulls on
A "Coexist" headband
Remembering all his activity
As an... activist
He becomes my new hero
And did I mention
His voice is like and angel's?
By listening to him
You gain a glimpse
Of what the professed Heaven
Might be like?
The entirety of the time
In the iMax
My head is back
My mouth is open
My eyes wide beneath my 3D glasses
I try to sing along
But it's hard to breathe
Through my voice catching
And my constant shivering
And goosebumps
(Brought on by amazement)
Hardly any sound comes out
I need to see these guys
LIVE
But I do agree with my mom
Concerts are better to see
On DVD
And still
The urge to see Bono live
To see The Edge
Adam Clayton
Larry Mullen Jr.
LIVE
Well that just about
Overrules sanity

This is gorgeously written;
This is gorgeously written; reminds me of SnowStars's lightning poem.
It was sad when I realized that they weren't live. I'd somehow missed the first line, so I didn't understand that it wasn't a live show. :(
One thing:
"You gain a glimpse
Of what the professes Heaven
Might be like?"
is a beautiful stanza, but the middle line doesn't quite make sense.
