Free, Unfinished Lyrics

perspiciens's picture

So, I tried to write some lyrics for a song and this is what I have. If anyone is interested in using the lyrics for a song and/or adding to them, feel free. Hope you like them.

[V1]
They fell to the ground
Like soldiers in a row
An execution of time
Their blood will turn cold

[V1.5]
They provide the Earth
With safety from harm
But now they are lost
Until their rebirth

[Chorus]
Come home
My dears
There's much to be done
Thoughts left unsaid
Words left unheard

Come home
My dears
Back to your families
They need you
Need you

I'm thinking another verse and a half, then the chorus, a bridge, and then the chorus again. Do what you will. Can't wait to possibly here these lyrics in a podcast!

I was just wondering, How is

I was just wondering, How is this supposed to sound? I'm kind of imagining something slow, with acoustic guitar, almost country or folk...

basically what i heard too.

basically what i heard too. actually, the tune that was in my head was... the backstreet boys' "what makes you different (makes you beautiful)" but make it whatever you want.
