Holding Back (the obscure way)

Podcast:

I know this is technically already up, but I wanted to record it with just me singing and playing since I wrote it. I hope you enjoy [both versions].

I saw your face there on
the corner.
It was in place of
my mouth on yours.
The paper bottles and
letter jackets
told me you'd been driving
back and forth.

I cannot
hold you back.
You cannot
hold me back.
Since when
did you cry?

I went and whispered
your name to millions.
I cannot tell you
what was said.
I broke you open and
climbed inside your hand.
You told me nothing would
ever change your mind.

I cannot
hold you back.
You cannot
hold me back.
Since when
did you cry?

I cannot take you
for granted.
You spoke too plainly
when you called
my
name.
It was so long ago
now I don't even know
what is left here for
you to take.

I cannot
hold you back.
You cannot
hold me back.
Since when
did you cry?

I saw your face there on
the corner.

You have an amazing talent

This is the most brilliant song I have ever heard. You have an amazing voice and need to put it out there for more people. I mean I love this song so much I would buy it and put it on my ipod. I found myself listening to this song, over and over and over again. You’re a brilliant singer, and song writer!!!
It’s beautiful; I would love in the future to hear more, and more, and more, and more.

I for one, didn't get a chance to listen to the recording-- but I go have every intention of doing so.

I liked how you wrote it. The chorus is kept simple, but it ties together good with everything else.

Kudos!

i like alot
and the guitar part is simply brimming with awesome, it is fuuull and bountifullll.....
