An attempt by the lyrically challenged

Special's picture

Rain drops and butterflies
left alone on silent nights
sing their songs so sweet at dusk
leave the morning silent lust

songs we'll remember by
their precious melodies
spilling words and lullabies
midnight soldier's remedies

time is passing by
as we look
over our shoulders
things that make me cry
are coming time and time again
Of all the people around me
you're the last to be over
over and over till we're dead

Like the warmth that brings us life
your arms would touch my sides
little words that passed you lips
would make my heart beat stronger

time is passing by
as we look
over our shoulders
things that make me cry
are coming time and time again
Of all the people around me
you're the last to be over
over and over till we're dead

You can keep me up at night
with the glisten in your eyes
To think of how you'll stay with me
through all the darkness that you'll see

sometimes I wonder why
love should be so hard to find
life leaves us still to drown
in tears of people all around

time is passing by
as we look
over our shoulders
things that make me cry
are coming time and time again
Of all the people around me
you're the last to be over
over and over till we're dead

And I want to die with you beside me
I want to die holding your hand
(your hand)

You are not lyrically

You are not lyrically challenged! This is beautiful.
