Winter Tales.

Each year up to a dozen students' work is selected for dramatic presentation by the professional actors with the Vermont Stage Company as part of their series of Winter Tales shows. If you've never had your work read to an audience, we can safely say it is an experience you will never forget.

So send us a story, or a poem, or an essay about winter. Your piece can focus on the holidays or the season – the weather, the outdoors or the emotions. It can be real or you can make it up. Long or short.

Winter Tales 2008 has passed. We will be posting information and deadlines for Winter Tales 2009.

How to submit?
* Log in. (Click "Not a YWP member?" to create an account.)
* Click "create content" and choose ENTRY
* Fill out "title," "author name, school & grade" and "prompt" boxes.
* Paste story into "body."
* Click "Submit." You are done.
NOTES: Your account email must be accurate; a "blog" entry must be resubmitted as an ENTRY to be considered.
