Spellbound

her mind is
occupied
by her book
exploring
faraway
lands,
a desert
island with
water so
blue it looks
painted on,
a forest,
trees so tall
they seem to
puncture the
clouds above
rolling hills
grass rippling
like coastal
sea water,
waving with
the moon
she is so
enraptured,
time flies by,
all too soon
the voice of
duty calls
her away

Love it.
Bravo, Brae... I love how you capture that moment when you are yanked from being lost in a book to being, suddenly, back to reality/work.
hahaha, yay, someone
hahaha, yay, someone understands! I snap at people when they interrupt me when I'm reading. I've yelled at my mom a couple of times because she brought me back to reality. I'll admit that I've almost gotten angry with you when you stop reading class and I'm in the middle of the climax... *grins*
