14. Procrastination. If you had more time, you’d be able to put it off longer. What do you put off to the last moment? Why? Tell a story about how you just barely got something done in time – or didn’t.

Seasons

To me, the best time of the year for weather is in the first part of the summer. It's the time between the later parts of May and into the beginning of July. Around this time the sky is beginning to turn blue more often.. The days are getting longer. The buds, and birds in the trees are starting to reappear. There is a constant cool breeze all around, and things are starting to happen outdoors and not inside them. This is why I think it's so special. It seems around this time the harshness of winter is thawing away, and it is a fresh start for everything. Plants and faces are starting to show their color once again, and the faint sound of a lawn mower in the distance brings notice to the summer changes. Children are running, splashing, having fun without a care in the world. Though the day doesn't stop as soon as the sun goes down, no, the parties go long into the night. This is why this period of weather allows you to feel more relaxed, and free to do things that spring and winter could not provide. For instance nighttime strolls, and I don't see you doing that in 12 below any time soon.
For all the reasons above I think this time period of time and weather is as good as it gets. You get to see the plants and animals that left almost seven months ago, and experience the variety of colors that were dampened by layers of snow. This is also the best time to sit on your porch or deck to watch a sunset, read a book, or even watch and listen to all the life that is around you. People are also more friendly. After their cabin fever wears off, and they experience the world for the first time in seven month. Though this wondrous time is sadly short lived. Soon it will be getting hotter, and hotter. People won't feel like doing much, except fan themselves to keep themselves cool, and shew the bugs away. Then the grass starts to die in anticipation of whats to come. The birds start to leave. Then winter starts to cast its gloomy shadow over it all. The children, and all events move inside. Animals shut themselves away into their homes, and people do the same. Finally it comes. The dampener of colors and spirits blanket the ground for weeks upon weeks upon weeks, with so signs of relief. Then, suddenly seven months later out of the snow comes life, and with it hope that winter has released its dark icy grip on humanity, and light and warmth returns to all of the animals, and to all of the people, between late May and early July once more.
