14. Procrastination. If you had more time, you’d be able to put it off longer. What do you put off to the last moment? Why? Tell a story about how you just barely got something done in time – or didn’t.

Fallen

Fallen

By Courtney Perry
Bellows Falls Union High School, Grade 10

You're falling so fast
And I can't save you
An angel, my childhood idol
Tumbling from grace to land in a heap
On this mortal ground

How many times have you pulled through?
How many miracles have you worked?

No one's ever thought to save you,
Because saving was not what you needed,
Saving is what you do
Always there, my voice of reason
Sarcastic and egotistical,
But still yourself, my friend

We may have grown apart
But I never thought
That you could
Fall so
far

If you ever need someone
I'll be waiting here
To help you
If I
can
