Houses Ruining Habitat

Have you ever gone for a drive near the woods and then all the sudden you see another driveway leading to a house? I see it all the time and I want that to change. I don’t think people should be able to just barge into these animals’ habitats and build themselves a house, urban sprawl should be controlled. I would much rather go out on a road near the woods, and see woods and animals without the driveways. If people continue to build their houses on beautiful woody environments eventually all there will be is houses, houses, and more houses.
Vermont’s natural area should be a natural aren’t a place for houses to be made. The animals need a habitat they should not be pushed out onto mountaintops or into peoples backyards, like the bears are in New York State. I believe that the building laws in Vermont should be a stricter because suburban sprawl is increasing at a rate way to fast. I also believe that there should be natural areas where people can hunt, camp, and hike, but not build houses. This would make Vermont’s environment a better place. I know that if there is more area for the animals then there will be a higher animal carrying capacity for that area and more animals will live there. We could establish this by simply not making houses in some of the natural areas.
Vermont has the capability to have better environments. I would like to know why they don’t use there capability to its greatest power. I also believe that if we had better environments with more animals in them, it would help Vermont’s economy because we would have more tourists. Then we could have more money to put in to making the environment even better. It would also support Vermont’s other needs like bridge and road repairs.
My dad and I are both hunters and sometimes we go out looking for spots to hunt, so we drive by my dads old hunting spots, some are mine too, then we will see houses right where we used to hunt. This affects the way we hunt because we can only hunt in areas with no houses. This makes my dad and I want to hunt in areas where there can’t be houses. That’s why I think there should be more natural areas for people to hunt, camp, hike, and even mountain bike on, that people can enjoy without buildings.
If this happens in ten years, all of the natural areas will have lots of wildlife. Vermont will have more money, and it will be a better place in general. I feel that Vermont should focus on the task of making natural areas to improve our future. Vermont’s great sportsmen’s heritage should be preserved in a way to make it stay great.
We need to keep our great sportsmen’s reputation; we need to keep Vermont a great place for the animals and the sportsmen.
