Some people cannot live
without the serenity of rural country
The peace of fall
The chill of winter
The look of the white snow falling
I am one of those people
though when I grow up
I may not stay to raise
a family of my own
But in my heart I will forever know
That Vermont is my home
And home
is where my heart
will forever lie
