The Newspaper Series

The primary aim of this project is to get student work published in outside media. Through its Newspaper Series, Young Writers Project partners with nine Vermont and New Hampshire newspapers to publish best student work once weekly throughout the school year, with weeks off corresponding to school vacations. All the work printed in the newspaper, plus selections by our judges that could not fit onto the newspaper pages, is also published on this Web site. In the 2011-2012 school year, our newspaper partners will be: The Burlington Free Press, the Times Argus, the Rutland Herald, The Valley News, the Brattleboro Reformer, the St. Albans Messenger, Addison Independent, Colchester Sun and the Essex Reporter.
