The YWP appears weekly on Tuesdays in the Times Argus, Rutland Herald, Brattleboro Reformer and The Valley News. YWP student material also appears on Tuesdays and Thursdays in The Burlington Free Press.

The YWP seeks entries from students throughout Vermont and the Lebanon, N.H., area each week. Selections for publication are made by student judges under the guidance of YWP Content Editor, Lee McIsaac. The Burlington Free Press, a 48,000 daily circulation newspaper serving northern Vermont, publishes on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Living section, as well as Sundays in the Franklin County section and on Thursdays in the separate weekly editions in Colchester, Williston, Essex and South Burlington.
