Expectations

Everybody has expectations. Whether it’s from yourself or other people, they are always there. The expectations I have for myself are to do well in school, go to a good college, get a good career and eventually get married and have kids. Other people though, especially my family members, want me to be on the high honor roll. Get into a great college, get a great career, and after a very, very long time, get married and have kids. Most of these expectations will take a long time to accomplish. Other ones, such as making the high honor roll, are already coming into play.

Sometimes, I do fail to meet my expectations. Only last year, I had a 79 average in math, so I didn’t even make the honor roll. My mom and dad weren’t the only ones disappointed in me, so was I. expectations are everywhere, if you like it or not. You, your family and your friends, all make expectations for you. If you can use the right attitude about them, you might find they can help you succeed in meeting your expectations, and it will make you, your family, and your friends proud of you.
