Superpowers

If I could have one superpower, it would be to be able to read people’s minds. With the power to read minds, I would be able to tell who was thinking about what. I would be able to find out more about people by their thoughts and emotions that people don’t usually express. I could tell if I was talking to someone and they didn’t find my story interesting. Also, if someone didn’t like me, then I could tell. I would be able to find out what people actually thought of me. I would be able to her the funny things that people say to themselves, tell who is actually mean and who is nice. If someone wanted to tell me something, but didn’t know how to say it, I would just be able to read their mind to find out what is what that they wanted to tell me. Reading minds would be one of the coolest things that could happen because of all of the information that I could gather.

Saint Michael's College mentor: I really like you description of your superpower because you go into detail and talk about all the different ways that reading minds could be helpful and fun. Maybe you could try varying your sentence structure, though, since you begin several of your sentences and phrases with the word "I".
