Getting Started as a YWP Mentor: A How-to Guide

The Young Writers Project encompasses a wide range of activities and programs, but you can get involved as a mentor simply by reading the creative efforts of Vermont and New Hampshire’s young writers, and leaving comments and encouraging them. The attached guide will show you how.

This how-to guide is for mentors who have already been approved by the Young Writers Project. If you would like to become a mentor, please email Geoffrey Gevalt or call him at 802 324-9537.

Click the attachment below to read the how-to guide. UPDATE: Please note that also attached is the Prompts for 11/12. Use those to guide you to make sure you are reading pieces that have NOT yet been published or selected. That way you will know what prompt to choose when you go to youngwritersproject.org/entries11 to select work to provide feedback.
