You wrapped your arms
around me,
and I wanted to stay there forever,
I felt so safe.
I felt so wanted.
As everything melted away,
it was just us.
There was you.
And then there was us.
With my head pressed to your chest,
and your steady heart beat
in my ear.
All I wanted was to forget.
Forget everything except you,
and me.
Because no matter how hard
I tried.
I could never forget,
Us.
SNAP I am back to reality.
