another continuation. I JUST realized I got a daily read for the first ones! THANKS! and now that there's 26... I'm MORE than 1/4 of the way there!

20: I hate my boyfriend because he’s so much better than I’ll ever be, and he’s too busy throwing his life away to realize it.

21: When I was a child, I used to crawl under the bottom shelf in my closet to sleep because I couldn’t stand listening to my father screaming.

22: He looked at me and said; "The only thing I really know about my father is the last thing he felt was the cold metal of the gun pressed against his head."

23: I still giggle when I think about the word ‘penis’.

24: I hate food.

25: I've never been more happy to tell someone the truth.

26: I forgave him every time, because I thought that if I loved him enough, maybe he might stop hitting me.

Response

I think twenty-four is your shortest yet. That one has a lot of possibility.

I completely empathize with number twenty, or at least the first part. For the second I can sympathize.

Perhaps you can turn twenty into just what "he" says? It seems too well put together for dialog.

Twenty-five is a great one for a prompt. Twenty-three is kind of about innocence, and how it's retained, or not. Twenty-one has a good story behind it. I think I like twenty-six best.

Dammit, commenting on every one again.

Congrats on the daily read thing, by the way!
