A Traveler's Wish
Perhaps I'll travel far and wide,
past the eyes of those around me,
to see the redwoods lick the clouds,
or bake in the Kalahari.
Maybe I should see the sea,
perhaps the jungle even.
Or maybe nothing naturally known,
but the city has its demons.
I could search the ancient realms
of distant times unknown.
Nay, the time may come,
but it shall not be soon.
All over the world I could travel,
full of experience and bliss.
My life would be fulfilled,
but it's home, the most I'll miss.

Traveler's tale
Great piece! We're offering it to the Barre Times Argus for the week of March 5. Thanks for this!
