Writers block
My muse is gone
I am left to wander
Searching forever
My time is squandered
I try to write
But my guide is gone
And I’ve lost my sight
Of my final destination
My all knowing intention
I don’t know where to go
I’ve been stuck for far too long
My work abandoned
I am left to stumble on
Into a dark abyss
With the light that leads me gone
I am cast amidst
I cannot write I can not think
Without my figure of light
Everything I write just stinks
I have a paper to write my story is due
But a great wall
Keeps my thoughts from getting through
My mind is sluggish
But at last there’s a spark
My muse arrives
And hark
What a sight that shimmering figure
That opens my mind
And leaves not a single
Shred of doubt behind
As I pick up my pen
Inspiration arrives
My thoughts overflow
They punch a hole in the wall
My muse is my eyes an helps my mind flow
A paper is born my thoughts given form
My muse leads me on
Through the gathering storm
Of my thoughts given form
And though my mind wanders
My muse takes me farther
Than ever before
I finish my paper
And go looking for more
Narratives
Procedures
Poems
And personal essays
All fall before my muse
I feel I cannot lose
This sense of clarity
But as the last sentence falls
I feel my mind take pause
As my muse’s job is done
The walls of my mind close in
The wall is back again
My muse wave’s farewell
And I’m sure you can tell
What happens next
As my writers block is back
And I start to wonder
What I was going to say next
I know it would have been a great success
If I could just finish
Thi…….
