Fear, Actually

Fear, Actually
Fear is a complicated subject. There are so many fears out there. For instance did you know zoophobia is the fear of animals? Well, I can see why you would be afraid of a grizzly bear or a mountain lion but how about a cuddly kitten or a frog (that isn’t poisonous)? Do you have zoophobia? ....

Here’s a fear that most people know: Arachnophobia. I have a slight fear of spiders… but only the big one’s. There was this one time my mom and I were up really early before everyone else and there was a huge spider sitting on the front porch steps. We went to go get my brother and dad but when we came back it was gone. Do you have arachnophobia?

Now here is a fear that is commonly confused: claustrophobia. It means the fear of small spaces. When I was little I used to think it was the fear of Santa Claus and I thought who would be afraid of Santa? As I got older I learned the meaning of claustrophobia. I like to read books in small spaces but that’s just about it for me. Do you have claustrophobia?
