Haircut

It's hard to do,
To make a change.
To make a difference,
To be flexible.
I am safe
in my old ways.
I am secure.
Don't want to move,
Don't want to
change.
Walk in to the room,
to oohs and aahs,
It's all different now.
On the inside
and out.
It's fresh and new,
It's short,
and sweet.

I've felt this way a billion times before, and yeah it is hard to change.

Haircut
It's funny. I wrote this poem a few months ago and now I need a new haircut! I'm thinking of changing my look completely. Change can be beneficial.
You're welcome. I love your
You're welcome. I love your picture by the way! It's so awesome!

Thanks Again!
Yeah, I made my picture on Adobe Photoshop. I used this cool tool so it's like I actually drew it by hand, onto the computer.
Yes
it can help. I had really long hair but I just cut it a week ago to pretty short. It was funny. Everybody started noticing all of a sudden!

Yeah!
Cool! A funny thing that happened to me once was: I had medium length hair and I always wore it in a ponytail. Then, I got it cut short and wore it down because it was so short and this lady commented that my hair had gotten really LONG! Lol, she hadn't noticed the "ponytail" part and thought that my hair had been reeeaaaly short before.
haha lol! That must have
haha lol! That must have been like so awkward for you. Was it one of your friends or like just a random person that said that?
It was the mother of one of
It was the mother of one of my friends. But it wasn't too terribly awkward since I was very little at the time.
I knew this girl who had
I knew this girl who had really short hair, like it was up to her ears. She got really mad when people mistaked her for a "boy" because of her short hair.
"We are the leaders that we have been waiting for"- Mahatma Gandhi
Yeah, I've been mistaken for
Yeah, I've been mistaken for a boy a couple of times in my life, and not always just because of my hair style. Once, I went to a summer camp and most of the girls wore beads in their hair, except me. One girl asked me if I was a boy or a girl. Another time a hair dresser, a grown woman, thought I was a boy. I guess I need to work on my style. Lol.
haha lol sorry that must
haha lol sorry that must have been embarrassing. It seems rude to ask someone about there gender lol. I've been mistaken for a boy because of how boyish I am, a tom-boy. But I don't really care that much,

Yeah, I'm not too much of a
Yeah, I'm not too much of a girly-girl myself.
well, I play field hockey,
well, I play field hockey, which most people consider as a "girl" sport but other then that, I'm pretty much a tom-boy.
field hockey is AWESOME!!!
Just thought I would put that out there....
"We are the leaders that we have been waiting for"- Mahatma Gandhi
Lol, I've never played field
Lol, I've never played field hockey. It sounds kind of hard. The sticks are interesting-looking. My mom used to play field hockey in high school.
My sport is way girly than field hockey. Lol, I'm a FIGURE SKATER. Everybody thinks of it as a girl's sport but there's soooooo much more to it. First of all, guys can do it. Second, it's not all about makeup and pretty dresses. I don't really like sparkles and pink and stuff like that. I usually opt for a black dress or better yet, black leotard with a wrap skirt. :*
it's really not that hard. I
it's really not that hard. I have a pink stick, yes sort of girly. I've had it for the past two years, so I'm kinda too tall for it. The hardest sport I think is gymnastics. I mean they do flips in the air.
Haha, figure skating.I would never have guessed. I used to skate when I was litte and it was really fun. I've actually never seen guys figure skating. Do you like figure skate with ateam or by yourself?
Yeah, I've been skating for
Yeah, I've been skating for over 7 years. It's both my sport and my passion. There are guys that skate (actually there are 2 twin boys that skate in Burlington that are really good - one of them won the New England Regional Championships this year and took 7th in the nation!!) but the number of girls in the sport far outnumbers boys.
Figure skating is composed of many types of categories. I do both freestyle skating (which is the jumps and spins done by yourself) and I also do ice dance (which is with a male partner - it's like dancing on the ice. I don't know if you've heard of Ben Agosto and Tanith Belbin but they're the famous U.S. ice dancers). Though I do ice dance, I usually skate by myself (I have not yet found a permanent partner because of the lack of boys). Eventually, I hope to get a dance partner and compete nationally. For now, if I do ice dance, I practice by myself and then when I test, a guy comes in from out of state or one of the twins becomes a stand-in partner.
wow! That is a long time
wow! That is a long time you've been playing! The longest time I have been playing a sport is tennis, and for almost 6 years. Those two guys must be really awesome!!!
that's awesome! I never knew there were that many type of figure skating. It would be really fun to ice dance. Have you ever seen the movie Go Figureor Ice Princess? that's like the only knowledge I have of skating. Well, I did skate for some time, but I forgot after moving.
I'm really glad you're not a girly-girl because most of the figure skaters I know are really snobby and mean.
"We are the leaders that we have been waiting for"- Mahatma Gandhi
Yes, I've seen both Go
Yes, I've seen both Go Figure and Ice Princess. They are nice movies but very stereotypical and many parts are totally incorrect and give the wrong information about skating. I think that figure skaters are classified as snobby, mean, or really girly, and many of them are not. I know lots of girls and a few boys who skate that are really nice. In Ice Princess, you know how the girl does that show with the little kids and suddenly she skips 2 levels and is on the Junior level and can compete in Nationals? TOTALLY fake. You can't skip levels and there's a lot more than 3 levels to get to the Junior level. To compete at the level she does in the movie, she would have to take at least 14 tests, which would take at least 4 or 5 years to complete!!! Also, the "test" she does is totally not what it's like in real life. You have to skate all by yourself on the ice and there's a ton of required elements. Plus, in the movie, she does a double jump on accident - that just doesn't happen. However, though both movies are somewhat fake, they are entertaining and somewhat funny!! :)
thanks! now I know the real
thanks! now I know the real truth about iceskating. I just thought that most figure skaters would be really snobby because there are a few skaters in our school and all of them, yes, every single one is really snobby and super skinny so they just sent the wrong image in my brain.
also during this talent show, one really snobby girl who iceskates brought this video of her competing and she had this really sparkly dress with lots of glitter.
so anyways, thanks for spreading the truth from the lies.

Where do you go to school?
Where do you go to school? What are the skaters names? Maybe I know them.
I go to Rice Memorial High School - Grade 9.
you're two grades higher
you're two grades higher then me.

Hmmm, I don't think I know
Hmmm, I don't think I know them. I actually don't know where that school is either. (I just moved to Vermont this year) Where is Albert D. Lawton?
P.S. Do you like the 7th grade? 7th grade was a pretty good year for me.
it's probably bette you
it's probably bette you don't know them. It's in Essex Junction which is close to the school EMS. Maybe you know the Brownell Library? It is really close to that.
No, I absolutely hate 7th Grade. absolutely despise it so much. the teachers are merciless and give way too many projects. and also my friends are fighting so I'm stuck between them and sometimes I want to run far, far away into another school.
(sorry for that rant)

Oh, I know where Essex is.
Oh, I know where Essex is. Actually, the twins go to Essex High School.
That's a shame that you aren't enjoying 7th grade. Middle school should be fun: enjoy yourself while you can!! Lol. When I started high school, I was SHOCKED! You think you have a lot of projects and homework now. Everybody at Rice is always complaining. We get sooo much homework. So, I know how you feel about that, anyway.
Well, I got to go. I'm on spring vacation but I have lots of homework to do (one thing for homework even includes writing a poem - you can read it if you want, I posted it in my blog, called "A Jumbled Classroom") Feel free to send me comments. Though I have to go now, I'll check back tomorrow. I'm always on the computer. Thanks soooo much for talking. ~Glaz
really?
my sister goes there. she probably would know them.
yeah I do enjoy middle school-sort of. Just not really my friends. I wish everything could disappear and I would have the chance to make new friends. My sister was shocked too when she started. Atleast I learned from her not to take all the advanced classes.
Ok I'll read your poem.
see ya later!
