Allusions
I love to figure out allusions -- like watching "Gilmore Girls" -- some I got and some went over my head. Right away I recognized the title of this book as a quote from a poem by Emily Dickinson and wondered how the book would relate to her. Then on p. 5, it is clear that Emily Dickinson was the first person Helen haunted as we get lines from Dickinson's poems and she is referred to as Helen's "Saint" -- I believe Dickinson was referred to as the New England Nun.
Who is the Knight who wrote fantasies of knights but could only get his religious writings published? And who was the Playwright? And finally who was the Poet? Did anyone figure these out?

Um
Well I don't know who the knight is but I just wanted to say that in any kind of story where a princess is in danger their will always be a knight to save her. Even though the knight isn't always perfect such as shreck he will always help save the princess.
