  • Log in. (Click "Not a YWP member?" to create an account.)

  • Click "create content" and create an ENTRY
  • Fill out "title," "author name, school & grade" and "prompt" boxes.
  • Paste story into "body."
  • Click "Submit." You are done.
    NOTES: Your account email must be accurate; a "blog" entry must be resubmitted as an ENTRY to be considered.

For a second
I almost cried
for everything
I've lost.

and then it was gone.
and now I can't do it again.

Why is it so hard
to bring myself to tears?

Lovely, I get what you mean.
For a while after my cat died
it was just hard to cry
then a few months later
all i could do is that
you might be talking about
something different
but i get it.
