Bush Unveils $3.1 Trillion Budget
Bush Unveils $3.1 Trillion Budget - The president’s budget plan, which foresees near-record deficits just ahead, is sure to meet resistance in the Democratic Congress. [NYTimes -- National]
Ok, so a $3.1 Trillion budget, won't that just put America into debt even more?
Plus Bush's planing to cut/terminate 151 programs, with under a third of them being Educational, yet he plans to increase funding to National Security. In my opinion, if National Security is going to have increased funding, then he should also increase Educational spending also. What ever happened to the "No Child Left Behind" Act? If he cutting/terminating almost 50 programs, then what programs are beening removed, and will it affect those who have problems learning?
Also, if the article is accurate then the National Deficit has grown while Bush's been in office. If it was $3.3 trillion when he entered, and it's suppose to be $5.9 trillion next year, then we have increased over $2.6 trillion, that's $325 billion a year.
I don't quite agree with a $3.1 trillion budget, though it will be interesting to see if it does work or not.
