We Must Know the How to Truly Understand the What
As a senior in High school I can honestly say I know very little on how to improve our economy. As we continue on the path towards a recession, stocks are crashing, prices are becoming higher, and many individuals are becoming unemployed at an increasing rate. While it may not be a depression that were heading into, this period of time will hit us all hard financially. And it is times like these we look to someone of higher power to save us. The only problem is, who do we pick? With the 2008 presidential elections coming up, we the people will have the chance to give our vote to a candidate we feel has the power to do us good. But honestly, how can we know if their going to do us any good if they fail to prove how their going to do it.
In president Bush's State of the union address, Bush encouraged giving business owners around America an incentive to invest, which will create industrial growth and new jobs. Well thats all great, I just want to know how he's going to do it. It's all easier said than done. This doesn't happen with the snap of a finger, this takes vast amounts of time with deep and careful consideration. And as citizens of the United States we should know exactly how it is going to play out in our lives. We need to know what sacrifices are going to need to be made in order for it to work, how it will affect our life's while its in progress, and how beneficial they predict it will be. Only then can we really understand what is going on.
So when looking at a presidential candidate, we should look beyond what they plan to do, and focus on how exactly they plan to do it. Without a plan to back them up, we may just assume they don't know what they're talking about.

I agree that we should look at how exactly they plan to do it, but here's the challenge:
Politicians are known for being extraordinarily vague when it comes to what their plans actually consist of. It's more difficult than most people think to find a clear cut, no questions asked, outline of their true plans.
