Conflict

The Most important conflict in this book I would say is the fact that his dad died. When his dad dies it sets the whole storyline of the book. The other conflict in this book is that Oskar is trying to find where this key goes to. If his dad didn’t die then Oskar would have never found the key, and then there would be no story. Oskar is basically fighting to get over his dads death by finding where this key goes to. So that is why I feel that this is the most important conflict in the book.

Person vs Nature
The conflict is Oscar trying to find out what the key his father left him goes to. This is pretty much the main theme in the book. Oscar is constantly trying to find and understand the clues left by his father before his death. Oscars going to keep getting deeper in to his father’s secrets until he finally finds out what the key goes to. So far, what I’ve read points to that conclusion, but who knows, there could be some kind of twist coming up
