Fifteen Things I Hate

1. My brother leaving .1 cm of milk in the fridge.

2. The words, “because I said so!”

3. Having 9999 channels, but nothing good on.

4. Even though the upstairs is off-limits to my dog, I still have to vacuum all the dog hair from the hallways, twice a week.

5. The magnetized pull between my clothes and my bedroom floor, and however long I try to explain this phenomenon to my mom. She still makes me go against the force of nature and pick them up.

6. Finding dryer sheets in my pants at school.

7. The feeling of being hungry but not having “anything to eat” because your mom shops at the COOP and insists on buying the healthy organic food, that have an annoyingly low amount of artificial flavoring.

8. Having the absolute perfect descriptive words to finish off that paper you have been working on all day, but never being able to spit them out.

9. My dad’s belief in extremely low heating bills during the winter; and the words “Well, then put on another layer!”

10. When you wear your jeans once and they are stretched out by the end of the day.

11. When you wait all day to come home and have a brownie from the batch you made the night before, to find they are all gone.

12. When you go onto the computer and you just want to find one quick fact on the internet, but it takes you about one and a half hours just to ward off all the suicidal pop-ups long enough to click on the website, that has probably nothing to do with what you were looking for in the first place.

13. Waking up day after day with those couple words stuck in your head from the song you heard three weeks ago, “S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!”

14. Instruction manuals that are about as good as if they were in gibberish, except for the first couple sentences advising you that it would be best to thoroughly read and understand the manual before using.

15. The infamous looking-frantically-for-your-sunglasses, when they sit right where you left them five minutes ago, on your head.
