Surprise

In the book I think the biggest surprise was when I found out that Macy and Wes had more in common than they knew. They both lost a parent recently and they both have different ways of handling there sadness. Macy lost her dad and Wes lost his mom. Through out the book Wes and Macy end up being friends and sharing problems that they have had through out there life. I thought this was a big surprise because of the parallels of their two lives, but I was confused when I found out that they didn’t end up getting together because of everything that they went through. But I guess their friendship means more.

Surprise!

The biggest surprise to me was that Wes went back to his girlfriend Becky.
Macy and Wes were both on breaks with their boyfriend/girlfriend for different reasons. Throughout the summer they hung out a lot and talked. They both felt comfortable sharing their biggest secrets with each other, something they had never done with other people. I thought that Wes and Macy would fall in love and be together. Near the end Macy finds Wes back with Becky, and is very hurt. She knew that there was a chance that he would go back to her, but felt they had something special. She had left her boyfriend and thought that he would do the same with Becky. After not talking and finally working things out, Macy and Wes do end up together. I was not sure if things would work out, but was glad they did.
