Random Thoughts-1

Blank pages are sometimes boring to look at.
Other times it stirs thoughts of creativity.
So you’re looking at a blank sheet of paper.
The thoughts enter your thinking space,
Do you crumple and throw it away?
Save it for later?
Use it right now?
What would you do?

I am using this one to write to you.
How does that feel?
I am going to go play the piano.
I’ll be back soon…

That took awhile, sorry.
I’ve actually been gone for almost 7 hours.
Thanks for reading this far.
I appreciate it.

My nose itches.
On a box of cheese pizza.
I’ve been into writing a lot lately.
It’s something new that I enjoy.
Go figure.
Tears of necklaces around a broken hearts neck.
How do they exist?
How do they stay in tact?
How can it be that when one is meant to be with another, there is so much battle?
Why do some of the nicest seeming people have to be such jerks?!
I don’t know.
Who does?
I don’t think I want to know.
As much as I hate being the jerk,

Thoughts

i.
I'm wearing the
same chapstick you wore
when we kissed on
your bed,
kisses that tasted
minty and
explosive and
sharp, but
wrong, but
right.

ii.
I saw your name on
PostSecret and
my throat caught as if
your hands were
strangling me.
What are you thinking?

iii.
Is there someone out there
who will get lost
in the music?
Someone with
talent and
a body like incense that
could wrap around,
inside,
through,
me?

I'm looking for you.
Keep your eyes
open, please?

iv.
This shirt smells
too much like you.
If I don't wash it I
might start crying.
(But I still miss
the beauty in tears.)

v.
Needed:
1 pair of
swimming trunks.
(I hate hiding,
but you hate the truth.)

vi.
I like to think that
I'm not as
confused
as you think.
But I really don't know.

vii.
Her squeal made me
want to cry.

I miss beautiful
humans.

viii.
His words were hypnotizing
as he told me about
California and
I should have stopped
talking,

One of Those Moments

I plan to change the world,
To be…somebody
But how realisitic is that?
Most likely I’ll never be anything but some teacher,
Like my parents.
Or maybe I will be a daycare person, or a clown.
Sometimes, though, I have those ambitious thoughts.
And then I just sigh,
“Yeah right.”

I’m having one of those moments
Where I don’t care, just as long as life never gets as boring
And pointless as it is
Right now.

Thoughts put into Haikus

Hearts soar among clouds
Especially mine right now.
Spring fever has come.

The sun slowly sets
On a mild spring day.
I want to go out.

My heart flies for you
Higher than the pure white doves.
My love is as pure.

I sit quietly,
Wishing for someone to talk,
Especially him.

They don’t understand
How my mind tends to work.
I wish that they did.

He quietly sits

Romantic Thoughts...

Soon,
There will be a bon fire.
We’ll all stand around,
And hopefully,
I’ll be next to him.
A big bon fire…
That could be romantic.
Standing around on a cool spring night,
Just as the sun finishes setting,
Hypnotically watching the fire,
Its orange flames licking the sky.
That could be romantic.
And then,
Watching the stars past the fire,

On Eloquence

On Eloquence

By W.T. Smith
Hanover High School, Grade 11

What would we give for eloquence?
Would we change what we had to say?
What did we do with innocence?
Did we lose it along the way?

How many times are decisions made
By the words that we know how to use?
And how often do we give our dreams away
Because we have to choose?

So if you speak a different tongue,
Will you dream a different way?
So strange how often dreams are hung
On what we have to say.

Dreams

I can think
And I can plan
And I can dream
But that’s all my thoughts
Will ever be
Dreams
Because I can’t bear
To try.

A Magical Time

Everything is covered in ice,
And the world is of a crystal blanket.
We stay inside,
As the coldness diffuses through the air.
It is the time we become closer to our families,
And further from reality.
Many thoughts pass through our heads,
As we witness the world changing.
We celebrate warm ceremonies,
With family meals and hot chocolate.
It is the time when we count our blessings,

(enter thoughts here)

If I called
would you answer the phone or pretend
you didn’t remember the number

If I gave you my love
would you give it a shove
oh....wait...never mind
If I gave my heart

If I gave you ring
would you give it a fling
& I don’t mean the
kind of “I DO”
NOT

The way that we left
I didn’t even
get to tell you I was(n’t) sad
I found out how you played

The Internet

The internet

A place to place my thoughts
for others to see
to read
to comment
to evaluate
to like
to hate
a place for my thoughts to flow free
and nobody knows it's me
