My Path

I stand looking out my window.
Seeing all the world has to offer.

I hear the cars go by.
Little people who have already figured out what their lives is to be.

Why can’t I be like them?
Figure out my path and walk on it?

My mind is further than the 9-5 day job.
Farther than the next town.
My eyes see visions of fantasy.
When will I be able to match their majesty ?

Why can’t I be like them?
Figure out my path and walk on it?

Where is my road to follow?
I can’t find it here standing in my room.

Give me the strength to walk out the safety of my home.
To see:

Why can’t I be like them?
Figure out my path and walk on it.

Me and Our Changes

If I was ever chosen to be president I really wouldn't want to, but if I had to I think the first thing I would do is straighten this country out. What I mean by that is I would take us right out of the war as fast as I could. I wouldn't hesitate twice to if I could I would arrest Mr. Bush for not thinking threw completely what he should have done after 9/11. That mean's yes I would take us as fast as I could out of the war. I would have to higher taxes for a short time. The reasoning for this is when the taxes do go up then there is more money to help pay for this that our people need and haven't been able to afford it so this is help to pay for half. I think it is very important that everyone have at least some kind of health care. The doctors can't turn you away which is good. But it's better to be able to pay for some of it then be in debt for the rest of your life like our country is so much in. It's a very hard place that we have been put in.

JD's hope poem

Beautiful girl,covered
in rain

Not to touch her,
Hah, he would be insane

But he hesitates,
for she could be insane

Lies, deciet, and trickery,
playing him, as if a game

Telling him one thing,
but it's different to others

This beautiful has gone
undercover

Undercover like a cop,
while licking you away,
as if a lolli pop

Contact between them is
swindling away, but
he's trying and hoping for
rekindling of the flame

But he's wasting his time,
because he will never say
"That beautiful girl is mine"

But he is wishing and hoping
that her feelings will change
so that they can share their
feelings forever and always.

Best Friends

20 chins

You lay
On my back

Stare at
The ceiling

Say penis
Like a child

Talk about
Poop sticks

Sigh
And say
Your eye
Is twitching

Grab my
iHome

State
That you'll
Plug it in

Finally do

I just
Write
Everything down
Laugh
At your reactions
To everything

So blunt
So out there

Not always
The best choice
Just always

You

I love
How we've
Become
Best friends

We tell
Each other

Everything

Laugh at
Each other's
Thoughts
Perceptions
Circumstances

And yet

We're always
There
And ready
To be
Understanding
Compassionate
Uplifting

I watch
Us

And smile
Loving how
We're opposites
North and south
Pulled together

Super magnets

Hope
We'll always
Be bestest friends

We always
Will be

Butterflylife

I am the Watcher,
I have seen the sun,
Rise and fall each day.
The moon surface and set.
I sit and watch

Each life flits away.
To me they are like butterflies,
Each one different and yet the same.
I watch each life flit away.

Each life has its own color,
Each life takes its own path,
And then each life is taken.
Taken away so different,
and yet so the same.

I am the Watcher,
I have seen the sun,
Rise and fall each day.
The moon surface and set.
I sit and watch

Each life flits away.
To me they are like butterflies,
Each one different and yet the same.
I watch each life flit away.

Each life has its own color,
Each life takes its own path,
And then each life is taken.
Taken away so different,
and yet so the same.

The Beginning

Green is
What I miss.
Green is
A friend
I’ve lost touch with,
Who has
Vacated the premises
For the time being.
The forsaken world
Green left behind
Is colder and less cheerful
Than before.
Green,
I miss you.

Green is
The hope that we
Lose
When the world turns
Black.
When white
Melts away
And grey gloom
Subsides,
Green will
Knock at my door.
Despite his absence

A Simple Plea

See what I see. I see a world falling around us. I see people lost and confused in the wake of a crumbling world. Morals and principle are on the verge of exstinction.
Hear what I here. I hear the sound of billions of voices crying out in the desparate struggle to find themselves. I hear the constant falling footsteps of lost souls as they wander into oblivion.

Within Reach

In the softest breeze, I can hear the faint echoes of a world just beyond our own. So peaceful, it seems impossible that it might lie within reach of this world, where war and violence seem to consume each man and child down to the bone. But here, alone, I can feel the presence of something greater... something more wonderful than the human mind could possibly imagine.

A Last Time

A Last Time

By Courtney Perry
Bellows Falls Union High School, Grade 9

There is a last time for everything,
A last time for everything and nothing will ever change that

There was a last time for me to see you,
It was the last time I’ll ever see you and nothing can fix that

There is a last time to mourn for what you have lost,

World War III

World War III will be not fought man against man, but man against squirrel.

From the ground they will come, boiling up, nibbling everything they touch until there is nothing left.

Cute bushy tails, use to blind you, then to bind you down.

One squirrel to rule them all
One Nut to find them
One army to bring them all
And in the darkness, bind them.

Dream of Becoming

Noisy late night made my mind
empty of colorful reflections.
I will try your cranky games
like I'm always the winner.
I thought you was my blue imagination,
but you are my enthusiastic angel.
Looking at the heaven,
dreaming of a perfect world with you
my smooth hands touched your silly smile
I wish you were eleven.
Your shining eyes read my future
excited I couldn't believe

The Sun is Shining On Me Today

The sun is shining on me today,
Today is the day that I found new hope,
And a reason to pray.
The sun is brighter than it has ever been,
And I can feel the warmth of its rays.

The sun is shining on me today,
And it is telling me wonderful things,
Like he will be here to stay.
It tells me things will change,
But they will change in such a good way.

The sun is shining on my today.

Jack and His Beanstalk

A beautiful woman in passing
sold me a deceptive bag of seeds
A green seam in the corner read hope
but she argued that they were just peas.

With a snort I tossed them far away
to the back patch of my mind
Unattended they slowly began
to flourish nourished by my dreams.

Sprouting up to starlight’s gleam
they paved way to the mythical
Where roaming Giants teamed

Love vs. The Bed

So many times he's cornered me,
watched as I feel alone,
self-conscious in his presence.
watched as I've tried to be there for him,
but I drift off,
away,
in a land of my own where I cannot hear him
It almost felt like work,
a certain sadness that could never be filled,
a thirst that cannot be quenched by the deepest sea,
and yet,
falling softly in the flickering candlelight,

stardust

Wish upon some stardust,
Maybe your dream will come true.
Wish for the good in life,
Of making the war end too.
Wish for the better,
Wish you knew…

When will world hunger stop?
What will happen to me?
What will the earth end up to be?

Will it be bare and desolate?
Or will we care,
And give the earth a share
Of our everlasting love?

Wish the guy you like,
Would ask you out.

Surgeo Church's picture

the secret

they’re afraid.
laugh it off.

but if you look again
you see a glimpse
of questioning
and fear.

they have to be a man
make it gone.
because they feel
in their heart
gay is wrong.

their eyes wander
across the room
filled with
laughter.

and they hope
that no one
realizes the truth.
