Burned Alive
Submitted by mason709 on October 9, 2008 - 19:41.A victim
and a survivor.
Of what you may ask.
Of an honor killing,
a supposed murder
that kills an innocent girl,
so that makes it honorable.
But this girl had a purpose,
a reason to live
and to tell her story
to all that would witness it.
She was burned alive
by the decision of her parents,
she was saved by kind
city women.
In some places there are laws for this,
like numbers 97 and 98,
which say the murderer
goes to prison for at least six months,
usually they do not stay that long
and are considered heroes in their homes.
Time goes on and laws change,
but not 97 and 98,
they stay the same.
Though the girl has
a second chance,
she remembers her “slave” days
from her childhood.
Which no child,
male or female,
should endure.
From her beatings
she found nonviolent ways,
her peace of mind not there,
but her peace with people is all there.
Her first life
she writes down
into her book, with her
first born child in the pages.

The world in her hands
Submitted by Schila on July 5, 2008 - 18:16.Such a happy girl
with the stars in her eyes,
and green, lush mountains for her skin.
a silver lake, a great big moon,
and a clear blue sky,
for her heart.
She has the world,
in the small of her hands,
sheltered from the rain,
and the wind.
But don't be smug,
cause one bad move,
is all it takes
to make her mad.
She met a guy,
the age of 16,
so pretty,
handsome,
and tall.
This World
Submitted by sneuman on May 23, 2008 - 13:35.This crazy world is going by
Gas prices going up, why, why, why!?
People dying, getting abused even if they don't want to
This world is bad but we try,to keep on going, day by day, we try
But I know one day we'll find a way, to life in peace and be okay
Keep on Tellin' Me
Submitted by purplegal101 on March 19, 2008 - 10:17.Verse 1:
In my search
for a better day
why mush I look this way
I try to break through
But the world keeps on tellin’ me
I must fit into it’s puzzle
Chorus:
Well the world keeps on tellin’ me
To feel this way
But I know I
I forget sometimes
To be my own
So I work harder everyday
(mmhmm)
Verse 2:
Who can ask?
What’s to say: What the world’s puzzle is anyway?

Time
Submitted by Artair on January 26, 2008 - 23:16.Solace is where the cellar door opens up to our minds
You walk down to the door, and with a creak it opens
You are then floating, floating in a starry sky, with a kind voice in your ear, telling you not to be afraid
There is nothing to be afraid of
You open your eyes, and you are in the basement, sitting at the table
New inspiration has been gained for your life

Do you ever wonder?
Submitted by Dreamsprite on January 20, 2008 - 13:57."It's been a while," said I.
"Where have you been?" she said.
"Nowhere in particular," he replied.
No response.
"Well,"
"You're rather..."
"vulnerable."
Why?
All three voices answered, "Why not?"
I wonder...
"Who are you?"
"What are you?"
"How are you?"

Power You Posess
Submitted by apples on January 12, 2008 - 17:37.You posess the power
Of a god
But not just any god
The god of creation
But only half his power
Belongs to you
For another
Posesses the other half
Of his power
Yet you stand for good
And he stands for evil
Soon, the two of you will
Clash swords in a mighty battle
And you will be equally matched
And at the battles climax
This world will crumble
Nobody will win

Epic
Submitted by Gildron on January 9, 2008 - 13:47.Morgar the great, leader of the free world charges into battle.
Sword striking sword, the flash of blades flickers everywhere in the dieing sunlight.
All seems hopeless, half the forces have fallen.
The mages, promised warriors for Morgar have abandonned their position on the field. Fleeing in fear.

World War III
Submitted by Gildron on January 8, 2008 - 11:20.World War III will be not fought man against man, but man against squirrel.
From the ground they will come, boiling up, nibbling everything they touch until there is nothing left.
Cute bushy tails, use to blind you, then to bind you down.
One squirrel to rule them all
One Nut to find them
One army to bring them all
And in the darkness, bind them.

Ode to the World
Submitted by pineapple_babbit on January 7, 2008 - 10:32.Oh dear world!
How large and nice you are!
Too bad apples and I will be taking you over!
Your oceans that are so blueish green.
They remind me of my purse…
But not as bright,
Or zippery.
You sky reminds me of gateraid.
The light blue kind…
That is really yummy.
Especially if you are playing and then go on a walk to the store to get it…
And then talk about it on the way home…

CRASHING into a BLACK ABYSS
Submitted by Surgeo Church on November 1, 2007 - 16:12.our world.
is just a spec,
compared to the universe.
we are nothing
against the endless darkness
past the galaxies.
going
and
going
does it ever end?
is the universe
just a drop of water
on a blade of grass
in the next world?
are there more like us?
is earth not the only place of life?
do other intelligences watch us?
the magic within
Submitted by Guest on October 9, 2007 - 18:36.The Magic Within
Imagine a magical world
I gaze around and what do I see
But a place full of peace and harmony
Everything is neat all tasks are done
A person with a frown cant be found not one
Yet I open my ears and what do I find
Not a voice or a word of any kind
This scene is quiet with a calmness about
Disagreements are solved without even a pout

God Of The New World
Submitted by Zeal_37mm on July 4, 2007 - 18:31.I've got five dollars and a bucket full of ice
Working on preserving all that I deem right.
I say
I'm going to be
God Of The New World
And keep all the doors locked tight
On nightmares and darker lights.
I've seen four murders and half dead police
Telling me to say what I have seen.
I say
I'm going to be
God Of The New World
And weed out the unworthy and talk high
