you and her

Alone I sit,
with the cold darkness all around me.
You told me I was your only,
but now I know other wise.
From a box of pictures,
hidden under old fur coats.
Of you and her,
at our spot.
On the rivers edge.
Kissing and smiling.
Of you and her,
at the fair,
laughing and pushing.
Of you and her in this house,
that we had made our own.
...You lied to me

Unspoken

Swirling, terrifying,
Confusion weighting down,
No one seems happy,
Unspoken.

Do I dare disturb the Universe?
Do I dare stand up for myself?
Thoughts,
Unspoken.

Assignments,
Bullying, scared
Sweaty palms,
Unspoken.

Secret,
Not acknowledged,
Reeking havoc,
Unspoken.

Mind games,
Teasing, taunting
Creating doubt,
Unspoken.

Defying,
Worlds fallen,
Eyes betraying,
Unspoken.

Trinity,
Schoolboys,
The Vigils,
Unspoken.

Doors

Doors open
Doors close.
Doors creak
Doors squeak.
Doors are entryways
Doors are dead ends.
They whisper
They yell.
Doors hide
Doors find.
Doors are big.
Doors are small.
They protect
They unveil.
Doors share secrets
Doors keep secrets.
Doors open
Doors close.

Mask

Everyone always
Criticize others
When a truth
Of their personality
Is brought to light
Yet they themselves
Are desperately
Trying to hide
Something about
Themselves as well
So why is it
That they make fun
Of others who have
Been exposed
When they themselves
Are hiding behind
Their mask of lies

Back Stabber

I Stabbed you in the back.

Sorry, I didn't mean to.

I just tripped

And fell, knife first, into you.

Did it hurt?

I sure hope it didn't.

I'm an accidental murderer.

Hoping I don't get caught.

I Don't Hear America

Whispers and whispers
Whispers of secrets
Secrets not to be known
America's secrets
Too quiet to hear
Too secretive to know
America is silent
I don't hear America

DAILY READ: Tell Me

Twist the lock
Then throw away the key
Your secret’s always safe with me

I won’t tell
Not a single soul
No one will know

Trust me please
I can keep quiet
My secret act; everyone will buy it

Your secret is safe
No one will find out
I can say this without a doubt

Come I know
I’m not your best friend
But your secret will be intact ‘til the end

I’m begging now
