Living the Vermont Life

Growing up in Vermont has affected my life a lot, and in ten years, I hope I don't still live here. If I didn't live in Vermont, I would most likely live in New Jersey because both my parents were born and raised there. Living in New Jersey would be wonderful because in Vermont you have to live in a specific town to be able to go shopping a lot, and from my house it takes 45 minutes to travel to the nearest clothing store. In New Jersey it would probably be easier to make friends because of the bigger schools and the bigger population. In Vermont schools, there are only so many people, so if you get into a fight, or make enemies, there aren't many other people to fall back on.

The Box

The box is where I keep my heart
The box is where my heart must stay
The box is where no one will find it and throw it all away

The box is where I keep my secrets
The box is where I store my stuff
The box is where I dream so quietly when everything is rough

The box is where my thoughts are hiding

My Christmas Closet Door

I woke up this morning thinking, “Yes, it’s Christmas!” I looked out my window and everything was covered in white fluffy snow. I looked at my closet door. It was brown with white trim and a gold door knob. My closet door looked so peaceful in the light. I look at my clock, only eight; my parents wouldn’t even be up this early. I silently got out of bed and opened my door.

Villanelle

When I look in your eyes I’ll see the lies
The lies that tell me what your gonna be
If you be that guy I’ll just say goodbye.

When I talk to you I just give a sigh
What you get is not always what you see
When I look in you eyes I’ll see the lies.

I want to tell but it seems I can’t fly
I don’t know what to do so please, hear me
If you be that guy I’ll just say goodbye.

Limerick

There was an old lady with some goo
She knew that i had lost my left shoe
She wanted to help me
She really had to pee
So now i don't have my shoe, Boo Hoo!

Nature:

It is Winter now
It is getting much colder
Soon, the world will rest

School:

Noisy, loud, boring
Noisy is the loudness that
bores me to my death

Vermont:

Beautiful nature
Green mountains high above us
Alone in the world

The Ballad of the Land

This is my land for me not you
I love this land it’s mine
In my land there are sweet kisses
Chocolate kisses are fine

Oh how I love my magic land
My magic land is sweet
It sort of taste like vanilla
Its many different treats

It is sunny during rainfall
It’s happy when I’m sad
It’s bright when the world is so dull
It’s good when I am bad

Illusion Confusion

There once was a girl form Peru. Her name was Betty-Lou. She had long wavy brown hair and eyes like the bluest seas; well as far as 13-year-olds go. She loved to play and laugh with her friends. They would jump rope and ride bikes. On bright days they’d go swimming at the park and on dull rainy day they’d watch movies at her house.

The powers I need I can’t get
But I’ve gotten no need
For powers of love are the best
With this I can succeed

The powers I want I don’t have
What I have is too much
Except the ones I really want
But those I cannot touch

The powers I have I must show
For they are the strongest
And the strongest to me is good
But you I must assist

The powers I don’t need, I get

Mirror, Mirror

Look, what do you see see
I see innocence in front of me me

I know what you think think
I just hope you don't sink sink

Your scared and afraid fraid
Tell me, why do you play this sheared game

You see the face that gives you chills chills
But what you don't get is it's the pills pills

Every-time I look I get more fearer fearer
What am I? I'm your mirror mirror

Expectations

I expect to get on the honor role this year,
I expect to spend more time with my friends,
I expect to look my best every day, no matter what.

My dad expects me to get on the honor role every year,
My dad expects me to spend more time with my studies,
My dad expects me to not care what other people think, and focus.

I expect to make more friends,

The Sound

I come to school and hear the voices,
they talk about Math, English and Friends,
"math is hard."
"Hey do we have english homework?"
"OMG! did you see how short her skirt was yesterday!"
At school there really are no conversations
just little sentences that fill the hallway.

I walk in the grocery store and hear the noises,
"Squeak!" it comes from the carts.
