Followed

Something was there,
But his senses couldn't grasp it.

He felt the ache in his teeth,
The bushes trembling,
His back arching.

The pines towering overhead
Blocking out all light,
But he glowed,
His own inner light.

They never knew fear,
He never knew fear,
A predator.

But something was there,
And it was something,
He feared.
