I stare at it,
This mysterious box in the attic.
What could be inside?
Gold and jewels from long ago?
Marbles that Chester A. Arthur would throw?
Journals and letters that went to and fro?
Dresses and skirts that women would sew?
Photographs of farmers and the fields they would mow?
These are the questions that go through my mind,
But I am still wondering what I will find,
